Welcome
Lusy's Jewel Persians is owned by Lyudmila and Sergey Suprunovy. Our home is in the beautiful Siberian city of Barnaul.
Our cattery is registered with CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) and we specialize in bi-color Persians.
Our family has always loved animals, however, we postponed becoming involved in the breeding and showing of Persians until 2001 - when our children were grown. We wanted to be able to devote all our attention and care to our fur babies.
Our Start
Our first Persian was a brown tabby & white girl named Kitty Soft Black Diamond. She is not only very beautiful but has a delightful personality. For us, she is the embodiment of the ideal of a loving pet. She has a soul - and between her and our family is a bond that cannot ever break. She is a very special kitty.
Each cat, a cat or a kitten, living in our house are treasured members of our family. We know and understand each individual character with their own tastes and preferences. Every day we are thankful for the joy they bring to our lives and the beauty they bring into our home and hearts.
Our Goals
The primary goal of our cattery is to raise health, beautiful cats with sweet, open expressions and loving temperaments.
Our Siberian weather encourages our cats to grow wonderful coats :-).
Quality not quantity is important to us. For us, raising kittens is a hobby and a passion, not a business.
We are very proud of the pedigrees of out cats. The bloodlines we are working with include Blueskyeyes, Bocasana's, Cattrax, Bolo, Noblessa, Marhei, Spellbound, Dearborn, Zhao, Catillak, Jubileum’s, Midas, Artemis, Couronne, Harwood, and Equinox just to name a few. In spite of the fact that our cattery is just beginning, we have already enjoyed success in the show ring with Lucy's Jewel kittens winning at shows in different cat registries and associations.
The Rest of the Family
In addition to our furry feline family members, our happy household includes my husband, Sergey who acts as my first assistant in caring for the kitties. Sergey is a scientist who works at university. Before I retired, I was a banker.
We have two grown children. Our son, Roman, is a businessman and our daughter, Olga is a student at university.
We do have one other member of the family... our dog, Chao-Chao. She is a wonderful guard dog and is always ready to protect both our home and her "people".
Our family loves to travel, especially enjoying hiking and boating in Altay, Switzerland. We travel on mountain rivers, catamarans or rafts. Each time we search for new routes. Our daughter loves horses so we often chooses horse routes. Our motto is to "To Rest actively." CLICK HERE to see some of the places we have visited in our travels.
Besides the cats, I also enjoy gardening as a hobby including the cultivation of unusual exotic plants.
